Associació Catalana d'Enginyers Telecommunications (ACET) is an entity that seeks to serve its associated partners, in several professional areas, including: Conducting training programs and workshops to facilitate the updating of technical, scientific and legal knowledges. Since its inception in July of 1968, the Federació Catalana d’Empresaris Instal·ladors de Telecomunicacions, Faceminte, has undergone a deep transformation due to the fast growth of the telecommunications sector. Today is the only federation of telecommunication installers in Catalonia. It has become the only valid institutional mediator between the installers and integrators of telecommunications equipment and the various agents of our sector: Government, engineers, construction companies, equipment manufacturers, consumer associations and others. Furthermore, it promotes the important role of the specialist engineer as a telecommunications service advisor for the end user. Today, 250 registered telecommunications installers are members of Faceminte. Faceminte is, at the same time, member of FENITEL (Federación Nacional de Instaladores de Telecomunicaciones), ASIMELEC (Asociación Multisectorial de Empresas Españolas de Electrónica y Comunicaciones) and, in the European space, it is member of the ETSA (European Telecommunications Services Association). One of the objectives of Faceminte is promoting the concept of quality guarantee towards the end user and between property administrators and building companies. At the same time, Faceminte aims to bring together the professional telecommunications installers to offer a secure and reliable environment for their company tasks.
Localret is a local consortium moade of local governments of Catalonia to work in a coordinated way for the development telecom services and to imporve the actions of local governments forward the information society. Localret has to talk on behalf municipalities in those areas where decisions are affecting the management of the infrastructures and telecommunications services, as well as in everything that affects the deployment and use of new Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). Localret also has the task of providing services and consulting to municipalities for the preparation and implementation of local policies for the development of the information society and the deployment of ICT in the country and for the citizens. The uses and benefits of new technologies must be accessible to the whole territory and for the whole of the citizens, avoiding the "digital divide". Currently, more than 800 municipalities that are part of Localret and has the support, from his birth in 1997, of two municipal entities of Catalonia: the Federation of Municipalities of Catalonia (FMC) and the Catalan Association of Municipalities and comarcas (ACM). Localret defends the interests of Catalan Councils, and seeks at all times, collaboration and synergies from other government and private initiatives to achieve common goals.

The FTTH Council Europe believes that the development and deployment of fibre based broadband access networks will enhance the quality of life for European citizens and provide the European countries with an infrastructure that will allow its companies to increase their effectiveness within the global marketplace. The council’s charter is to educate European governments, policymakers and political leaders on why and how high speed fibre connectivity can be delivered to all European citizens within the next years.
The Council is led by a board of 9 including the President, Mr. Joeri Van Bogaert, from NBG Fiber Optics GmbH (Austria). The Council has 6 separate committees, which each focus on developing the case for Fibre connectivity through a range of materials delivered. Each committee is chaired by an experienced industry professional, who directs a committee of members to achieving specific goals and targets.
