- What are the key drivers for deciding when and how to invest in an LTE network?
- What are the most efficient network models for domestic services and for roaming, including spectrum choices
- Is it necessary for operators in developing markets to work with device vendors, and if so, why?
- Where are the new revenue opportunities using LTE,  what kind of business models will  ensure adequate financial returns?

Moderator:

Alan Hadden, President GSA

Panelists:

Svetlana Skvortsova, Tele2

>>16h40 | 17h10 Resource Management and Quality of User Experience in LTE Telecommunication Networks>>

Increasing demand for mobile data traffic motivated telecommunication network providers to implement and deploy innovative radio resource management techniques. Telecommunication service providers need constantly increase the quality levels of their delivered services to their subscribers. This is crucial for both customer retention and new customer acquisition. Increasing competition is also forcing network operators to deploy efficient networks with more capacity and coverage without increasing their infrastructure investment. In 4G/LTE networks, different radio resource management techniques are used to increase the quality of the delivered service, and the user experience. This presentation will talk about the current radio resource management techniques used in 4G/LTE networks. The effect of radio resource management techniques on Quality of Service and Quality of Experience will be discussed, and new innovative approaches for enhancing QoS will be presented.

Presentation will continue with real LTE network deployment challenges for designing high capacity and high QoS LTE networks. Since LTE network is an all-IP network, the scheduling of traffic packets also plays important role in the overall network performance. This presentation will explain key scheduling algorithms used in LTE networks, and their impact on capacity of the network.
