- Alan Hadden
President
GSA

Alan Hadden has 24 years experience in the mobile communications industry, and has been President of GSA since its formation in 1998.
Previously he was on the senior management team of a PCN/GSM 1800 operator (which became T-Mobile UK), involved in start-up, launch, and expansion phases. He assisted with discussions with key stakeholders and overseas regulators to establish 1800 MHz as a mainstream band for cellular and new mobile businesses. He represented the company at ETSI, the GSM Association and the UMTS Forum. Before that time Alan was Industrial Advisor to the UK communications regulator, working in the mobile communications field and represented views influencing regulation and standardisation at national and international level.



- Andrés Suazo
Head of 4G
Tele2

Andrés Suazo is Head of 4G at Tele2 since December 2008. Previously he has been responsible for technical mergers and acquisitions projects and worked with network strategies within the Tele2 group



- Arne Schaelicke
LTE Marketing Manager
Nokia Siemens Networks

Arne Schälicke is marketing manager for LTE at Nokia Siemens Networks. Prior to that, he has been portfolio manager for core network within Siemens Mobile Networks. He joined Siemens in 1998 and has held positions in product management and sales for network management systems and wireless networks. Arne holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Karlsruhe in Germany and an MBA from EdinburghBusinessSchool



- Bernd Kronmueller
Coordinator Radio Access & Transmission
Vodafone

 

 

Bernd Kronmüller, born 1967, Diploma in Electrical Engineering with focus on Radio Technology at University of Stuttgart in 1994.
Bernd has been with Vodafone since 2001 and has held various positions in the area of network planning,network monitoring and optimisation. His current role in Vodafone is Coordinator Radio Access & Transmission within the department Access Engineering, Design and Optimisation. Before he joined Vodafone he worked for Siemens as Network Design Consultant in several international mobile network projects. Previous positions include Expert for Nokia planning services and optimisation expert for the network operator E-plus.



- Frederic Pujol
Head of the Radio Technology and Spectrum Practice
Idate

Frédéric Pojol joined IDATE in November 1992. As head of the radio technology and spectrum practice, he is responsible for consultancy assignments and prospective studies in this sector. In recent months, he has produced a series of studies on the impact of technological innovation and the new rules of competition in this rapidly expanding sector. Prior to joining IDATE, he acquired in-depth experience in mobile network architecture while with the France Telecom Group (Orange, Sofrecom). Frédéric Pujol graduated as engineer from ISEN (Institut Supérieur d'Electronique du Nord, Telecommunications option, Lille, 1986) and CITCOM (Technologies communication engineering centre, Network architecture option, Paris, 1987).

 

 



- Jean-Claude Perrin
LTE Workgroup Chairman, SIMalliance & VP LTE, Gemalto
SIM Alliance

Jean-Claude Perrin, is LTE Advisor at SIMalliance ; he also acted as SIMalliance General Secretary during the first half of 2009. Jean-Claude is currently finalizing a LTE opportunity report , first step for the creation of a SIMalliance Working Group on LTE. Jean-Claude is also Vice President LTE at Gemalto Telecom. His role is to define and implement the strategy and major changes in the Company product, solution & service offerings linked the LTE mobile broadband disruption. During his 20 year career with the Smart/SIM Card Solution Industry, Jean-Claude held several International Marketing, Sales and Business Unit Management Positions, always working on leading edge subjects. Jean-Claude has a Master degree in Business Administration (IAE Paris – Sorbonne) and graduated from the Ecole Centrale de Lyon.

 

 



- Meik Kottkamp
Technology Manager, Test & Measurement Division
Rohde & Schwarz

Meik Kottkamp is Technology Manager within the Test & Measurement Division of Rohde & Schwarz in Munich. He is responsible for strategic marketing and product portfolio development regarding LTE, HSPA+ and EDGE Evolution. Meik joined Rohde & Schwarz in August 2007. From 1996 – 2007, he worked for Siemens Mobile Communication Networks and Terminals in Munich and Berlin and later for Nokia Siemens Networks, respectively. During this time, he started in GSM base station product and release management. As standardization manager he was leading a group responsible for the Siemens standardization strategy in UMTS Radio Access Network Protocol Group (TSG RAN). Within the last years at Siemens Networks he was involved in predevelopment projects on broadband technologies Flash OFDM, WiMAX and HSPA+. After creation of Nokia Siemens Networks in early 2007 he joined the Long Term Evolution (LTE) product management group. Meik holds a degree of Electrical Engineering from the University of Hannover / Germany.

 



- Richard Savage
Director Business Development Europe
Qualcomm

As Director Business Development at Qualcomm Europe, Richard Savage is responsible for Scandinavia, and the Baltic States. Richard joined Qualcomm in April 2004. Prior to joining Qualcomm, Richard has held similar positions for the last nine years at Ericsson Telecom AB and at Appload AB in Sweden. Richard has also recently been named Managing Director of the Qualcomm Sweden Branch which he holds in conjunction with his Business Development role. Richard is originally from the UK and has lived in Sweden since 1996. Prior to moving to Sweden, Richard lived and worked in France for 5 years working with several IT companies including Microsoft, MicroWarehouse and Azlan.

Richard’s expertise areas are:

· Telecom Industry in Scandinavia and Europe

· UMTS and LTE devices

· Mobile Industry – UMTS and CDMA

· User Interface and user friendliness

· User Interface, OTA Applications

Richard is a diligent speaker at conferences. Among several other events, Richard has been engaged by SIME, Communications and Mobile Forum and SACC E-days and IEEE.Richard also is the Qualcomm spokesperson for Scandinavia and has been featured in several articles in the press.



- Samir Madani
VP Global Sales and Marketing

As DOVADO co-founder, Samir has been actively engaged in promoting the DOVADO brand in the function of Sales & Marketing since 2004. With a strong technical competence, Samir is also actively corresponding with the general audience and welcoming requirements; some of which find their way into development. Providing prompt support and a proactive firmware development for its product portfolio, DOVADO is recognized today as the leading brand in Sweden amongst retailers as well as mobile operators offering routers which support USB mobile broadband modems for 3G and 4G/LTE. Prior to DOVADO, Samir spent a career in telecom serving the functions of Business Development as well as Customer Support Engineering at Ericsson and the first IP Telephony operator in Europe, Glocalnet.



- Stefan Jäverbring
Head of Mobile and IP Networks
Telenor Sweden

Stefan Jaeverbring is Head of Mobile IP Networks at Telenor Sweden. Telenor Sweden is since one year modernising its mobile networks completely, and this includes the creation of a joint 2G/4G network together with Tele2. The 4G network will have full nationwide coverage during 2012, and services were launched during the fall 2011. Before taking this position at Telenor Stefan Jaeverbring was CTO at the joint 3G network operator in Sweden 3GIS (Telenor and 3), and prior to that he was working as a management consultant at Northstream



- Timo Sippola
Head of Radio Network Planning
Elisa

Timo Sippola joined Elisa in 1996 and he has been working in the radio technology field since that. Starting from O&M and field measurements and then via researcher and manager roles to the current position as Head of Radio Network Planning. In that role he is responsible of the future and development of Elisas 4G, 3G and 2G networks including vendor selection and strategic planning as well as deployment of new radio technologies and new functionalities to the radio network - i.e. HSPA, UMTS900 and LTE. Timo Sippola has M.Sc. in information technology from Helsinki University of Technology.



- Tommy Ljunggren
VP System Development - Mobility Services
TeliaSonera

Mr Tommy Ljunggren is vice President, System Development, Mobility Services in TeliaSonera. This role includes the mobile network development responsibility for the operations in the Nordics and Baltics (Denmark, Estonia,Finland, Lithuania,Norway and Sweden). During last years he has been responsible for all 4G launch projects in the different TeliaSonera countries. Mr Ljunggren is also MD of TeliaSonera Mobile Networks AB as well as board member of the experience in the Telecom industry in different positions mainly in TeliaSonera, but he was also one of the founding partners of the consulting firm Northstream. He has been active in the ETSI, 3GPP and GSMA activities during most of his working time. As an example he was the editor of the introduction of band operation between GSM900 and 1800 into the GSM standard. Mr Ljunggren holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden



- Udo Muenzberg

Before that he worked in different sales positions at –amongst others- Compaq, Cisco, Entrust, Fico and Seagull Software, covering many different technologies in the fields of networking, business intelligence, security and application integration.Targeted customers have been key and strategic accounts in different market segments of finance and industry. At HanseCom he is mainly responsible for sales and marketing of events but also covering the complete organisation of certain selected conferences.
