LTE Network Planning Challenges>> |
|
ATDI will present the key challenges that telecom operators come across when planning and deploying LTE networks such as co-existence, interferences, network coverage, traffic considerations, etc as well as the most efficient techniques for solving those issues. Presentation will include an overview and return on experience of a recent case study.

4G/LTE: Fiber in the sky!>> |
|
While LTE operators are busily acquiring additional frequencies to cover their geographies, they are also positioning the technology as a gap-filler for fixed broadband. Subscribers now have the means of using this technology as a primary form of Internet access throughout their home or office, around the clock; providing them a fiber-like experience.

How to Best Achieve LTE Profitability in Incumbent and Greenfield Scenarios>> |
|
The success of an LTE initiative depends on several critical factors that are closely tied to the specific deployment scenario. Therefore, performing an in-depth scenario and sensitivity analysis becomes a must for assessing the dynamics of LTE profitability based on various contingencies and, thus, making best suited strategic decisions.

Panel Discussion
The Role of 1800 MHz in LTE Deployments>> |
|
HSPA/HSPA+ and LTE systems are helping to enable broadband access for all. New 800 MHz and 2.6 GHz spectrum is necessary but availability varies across markets. Operators want to deploy the best performing, most efficient technologies and many support re-farming 1800 MHz for LTE deployments. The panel will discuss spectrum requirements and options, and identify the benefits of deploying LTE1800 including CAPEX and OPEX savings. The panel will also consider the availability of LTE1800 user devices and identify the factors for deciding when, where and in which bands network investments should be made, how LTE1800 contributes to the HSPA operators' business case, and business models enabled by LTE.
Chairman: Alan Hadden
Panelists: Svetlana Skvortsova, Beata Bialkowska, Dominik Libicki, Adam Kurianski, Jaakko Hulkko, Uwe Loewenstein
